Abstract
This study aims to get a profile of students self-compassion in High Schools of kabanjahe. The samples were 300 students in High Schools in Kabanjahe. This research use a multistage random sampling with a sampling technique. The method used is a quantitative method. The data collection was carried out using surveys and analyzed using percentages. The results showed that students self-compassion in senior high schools in Kabanjahe was fairly good, with most students getting the medium category at 68.47%. This result indicates that some improvements are needed because students still have a tendency to self-criticize, feel alienated, and exaggerate problems and feelings when experiencing problems. Therefore, the schools counselors need to provide preventive and responsive services to improve self-compassion for students through both classical and individual services
